LASER RUN

[this event] “…tested a man’s moral qualities as much as his physical resources and skills, producing thereby the ideal, complete athlete.”
Quote of Pierre de Coubertin about modern pentathlon – French educator and historian, founder of the International Olympic Committee, and its second President.

Laser Run - a new sport discipline taking place during the ORLEN OLYMPICS 2019 is nothing but a combination of running and shooting with a laser gun. In the Olympic edition it is the last, fifth competition played in a modern pentathlon.

The Laser Run competition as part of the ORLEN Olimpiady will take place on June 8, 2019 in the Chemist's Days picnic zone. A special track with a 100m loop will be prepared with a start/finish gate and a shooting range. Players divided into a maximum of eight people will compete in separate races. The race will be based on an initial dynamic 20-meter sprint from the start of the shooting range, 5 shots with a laser gun to a target 5 meters away and then running on a 100-meter loop. In each race the shooting-run action will be taken by each player four times. The order of the participants in the race is determined by the order of reaching the finish line. The next phase of the competition will be passed by half Participants from each race, up to the final.

We encourage you to read the Laser Regulations to find out more organizational details and rules of the Competition.
